In Adygea, Kamennomostsky residents will have water supply by end of September

The settlement of Kamennomostsky in Adygea, where 1500 residents have been using water delivered in tanks since January, by the end of September will be connected to the water main, said the press service of the republic's government.

The township "Sotsgorodok" of the Kamennomostsky has no drinking water supply since January 5. The water brought into houses from the intake of the Belaya River is suitable only for technical needs. The reason for water quality deterioration was a landslide, which had caused a coastal erosion and collapse of rock into the mainstream of the Belaya River.

According to a source from the press service of the government of Adygea, it is technically impossible to restore the water line, as the network is worn out. To date, the residents use water brought in tanks, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

It is planned that in the course of the works, by September 20 the contractors will ensure the supply of water to the "Sotsgorodok".

In future, the local authorities hope to reconstruct the intra-township line within the programme of rural development and to build a back-up line, the GTRK "Adygea" reports.
