Action "We need peaceful Dagestan" is held in Dagestan

Today, on September 3, on the solidarity day against terrorism, Dagestan hosts a youth action "We need peaceful Dagestan", said the republic's committee for youth policy.

The solidarity day against terrorism was introduced by the Federal Law "On Days of Military Glory in Russia" on July 6, 2005. The date is associated with the tragic events in Beslan.

"At 11:00 a.m., all the educational establishments of Dagestan rang bells and held a minute of silence in memory of terror victims," said the press service of the republic's committee for youth policy.

Apart from the committee, the youth action is supported by the Ministry for National Policy, Religious Affairs and External Relations of Dagestan and the Ministry of Education and Sciences. In Makhachkala, within the action, young people were handing out stickers for cars with the words "We need peaceful Dagestan".

In the Russian segment of the "Twitter", the hash tag with the name of the action takes the lead. It was brought to the top of the "Twitter" by Dagestani micro-bloggers.

Let us note here that the new school, which is scheduled for opening in Chirkey - the native village of Sheikh Said-Afandi, who was assassinated on August 28 by a female suicide bomber, will be named in honour of the spiritual educator.
