The court in Volgograd released a cameraman who was filming a young communists' action

On September, 3, a cameraman in Volgograd who was filming an action against extermination of head of pig livestock in the region because of an infective episode of pig African plague was released from administrative arrest.

On September, 3, Central district court granted cameraman Maxim Voronov's motion reducing the term of his arrest from 15 to 3 days. "Release M.N. Voronov in the courtroom for the reason of having served three bays of administrative arrest", the verdict runs.

Professional cameraman Maxim Voronov was invited by young communists for participation in the action, Alexander Kudryavtsev, First Secretary of Lenin Communist Youth Union of the Russian Federation (LCYU RF) of Volgograd region, reported.

"The cameraman was successfully released thanks to the efforts of Alevtina Aparina, Deputy of State Duma, and Nicolay Parshin, First Secretary of KPRF regional Committee in Volgograd region", Kudryavtsev said.

Alexander Kudryavtsev himself played the role of a mummer pig in the action. "The action had a wide public response. The news about it gained about 10 thousand hit rates at one of the web-sites. All the people supported us by their comments. Today we can expect anything from the authorities. For example, Pussy Riot girls were sentenced to two years of custody for hooliganism. But we will think how to work further without crossing up our people for an administrative fine is an infringement that can for instance complicate employment", First Secretary of LCYU of Volgograd region said.

According to Alexander Kudryavtsev, the problem of pig African plague in the region is farfetched to a large extent. "We do not blame the Governor for extermination of pigs in the region on purpose, these people might just be mistaken", Alexander Kudryavtsev expressed his point of view.

Ten centers of pig African plague have been registered in Volgograd region since the beginning of the year. According to official governmental data, over 18 thousand pigs were alienated.

A representative of Press Service of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, in his turn, reported that the management of Chief Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia in Volgograd region appointed a service inspection concerning the police personnel who failed to secure the due checkpoint regime including screening hand luggage upon the results of which measures of disciplinary influence will be taken.

The rest participants of the action who were sentenced to an administrative fine of 1000 rubles are going to appeal against this judgment in the nearest future.
