A shooter from Adygea won "silver" at the Paralympics in London

On September, 6, athlete from Adygea Valery Ponomarenko won a silver medal in pistol shooting from 50 meters distance at the XIV summer Paralympic Games in London, republican Committee of physical training and sports reported.

The athlete competed in SH1 class, i.e. a class of shooters not using special facilities for holding arms. Upon the results of qualification and the finals, Ponomarenko gained 633,2 scores yielding only to Korean athlete Pak Si Kiun (642,4). Chinese Ni Khedun (625,3) won the "bronze". Another representative of Russia Sergey Malyshev (623,3) took the sixth place.

Earlier, on September, 3, Georgy Guliachenko' s pupil Valery Ponomarenko won another bronze medal in shooting from small-caliber pistol from 25 meters distance. Sergey Malyshev took the second place and Chinese athlete Li Tzianfey became winner.
