One person killed by collapse of hospital catering unit in Slavyansk-on-Kuban
As reported by the Southern Regional Centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), as a result of collapse of the roof of a detached building of the nutrition unit of the district hospital of the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Territory, one person was lost and six more injured.
The total area of the collapsed roof was 70 square meters. Rescuers found the body of a woman under the ruins, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
According to the MfE, two others were extracted from the rubbles alive, and four more managed to get out independently, the website of the above MfE Centre reports.
The preliminary cause of the collapse was named as land subsidence.
