In Tbilisi, unidentified persons desecrate church and leave inscription: "Free Pussy Riot"

The initiative group of Tbilisi residents appeals to the authorities of Georgia, asking to find and punish the persons, responsible for desecrating the church in the centre of the capital of the republic.

On the fence of the wall of the Kashveti church in Tbilisi, unidentified persons drew a caricature of the Saint Nina (Christian educator of Georgia, honoured in the face of the Apostles, note of the "Caucasian Knot") and left the inscription: "Free Pussy Riot".

In connection with the incident, the initiative group of citizens called on residents of Tbilisi to gather on September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the church to hold an action to protest against vandalism, the "Interfax" reports.

According to Evgeny Mikeladze, the leader of the initiative group, the participants of the protest action will read out a special appeal to the Ombudsperson and to the Minister of Justice of Georgia, demanding to pronounce a proper assessment of the incident, to investigate the incident and to identify the persons, who had committed the crime, the agency "GHN" reports.
