Employees of Gldani Prison noted for mistreating inmates sacked

Georgia has fired the employees of Gldani Prison No. 8, who were noted for mistreating inmates, Giorgi Tugushi, Minister of Punishment, Probation and Legal Assistance, said today.

"Today I spoke with several prisoners and asked them to provide me personally with information about the prison employees, noted for mistreating them. They called me the names; and yesterday several more employees was dismissed," the "Georgia-Online" quotes Minister Tugushi.

He also noted during his visit to Gldani Prison No. 8 that screening of the videos with prisoner's torture is annoying the situation. He appealed to all TV channels to stop showing videos of torture, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
