Unidentified people in Georgia threw stones at supports of the authorities and splashed acid in the face of an oppositionist

An assault at a minibus with activists of the ruling party "United National Movement" (UNM) took place in Georgia tonight. Oppositionists report one more assault, this time at a representative of the block "Bidzina Ivanishvili - Georgian Dream" in Gardaban district of Georgia.

The assault at the minibus with members of "UNM" following from Zugdidi to Abasha was committed at night near the town of Khobi after some unknown people whose number is not reported blocked the roadway by a car.

The driver of the minibus with members of the ruling party stopped the vehicle to avoid a road accident after which the attackers beat up the driver and broke the windshield with stones, "Georgia Online" reports.

The policemen who arrived at the scene of the incident detained three suspects, supporters of the "Georgian Dream" who were allegedly irritated by a label with the "UNM" emblem on the minibus, the media added.

Representatives of the "Georgian Dream" have not yet commented on the incident, however an information appeared that supporters of the block underwent an assault, too.

An unidentified person splashed acid in the face of Buba Dvali, Deputy Chairman of campaign office of Mamuka Areshidze, majoritarian candidate of the coalition "Bidzina Ivanishvili - Georgian Dream" in Gardaban district of Georgia. The assault took place near Dvali's house. The injured man was taken to a hospital in a grave state, "GHN" referring to the information spread on the Facebook network reports.
