The Alibekov's family in Khasavyurt went on a hunger strike of protest against young people's joining the gunmen

On September, 24, residents of Khasavyurt Zainudin and Sapiat Alibekova went on an open-ended hunger strike in this way trying to return their son who joined the gunmen to peaceful life, Press Service of the municipal Administration reports.

Ibrahim Alibekov's parents recorded and posted in online media a message to their only son who left home over three months before and did not come back.

According to Zainudin Alibekov, during the sacred month of Ramadan he and other gunmen's parents offered up a prayer in the mosques asking for their sons' return home.

"We even went the sacred mountain of Akhulgo where hundreds of Dagestanis once perished as Shakhids and asked Allah to return our wayward guys home. Allah received our prayer and eight families got their children back. All is fair to return our sons, including a hunger strike. Ibrahim, my son, come back home, the family is waiting for you", Zainudin says.
