Investigators check involvement of militants in murder of businesswoman in Dagestan

Investigators consider an attack of members of illegal armed formations (IAF) as a priority version of the murder of a 51-year-old owner of the store in the village of Kushtil of the Khiv District of Dagestan. The store, owned by the killed woman, sold alcoholic beverages.

Let us remind you that an unidentified man shot and killed the woman from an automatic weapon in the evening of September 27, when she left the store.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by officials from the Investigatory Committee of Dagestan that they examined two versions of the incident.

"The first version implied hostile relations. We reveal, with whom the woman could have hostile relations. The second version, and it is a priority, is that the entrepreneur could be killed by members of IAFs. It was revealed that she sold alcoholic beverages in her store," a representative of the investigators has noted.

A female resident of the village of Kushtil, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the store owner had been repeatedly threatened.

"She was three times visited with a warning not to sell vodka. Who visited her? Well, they are, whatever they are called, the men from the forest. She told me that by herself. She also appealed to the police; meanwhile, they recommended her better not to sell alcoholic beverages. However, she did not listen to them," the acquaintance of the killed woman said.
