Kizlyar District resident asks human rights defenders to help to find her son's wife and baby

Khati Radjabova, a resident of the village of Bondarenovka of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, appealed to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) with a request to assist in the search for the wife of her son and her baby, whose fate is unknown to her since September 23. The woman suspects that the wife of her son may be kept at one of the police stations in Makhachkala.

"On September 26, law enforcement officers from the Kizlyar OVD (Interior Division) came to my house and said that on this July 24, my son Magomedshakir Radjabov, born in 1981, was killed," Khati Radjabova wrote in her appeal.

Police officers asked the woman to go with them to the city of Khasavyurt to identify the body of her son.

"I identified my son by photos, since the body of my son had been already buried," the woman stated. Khati Radjabova also said that she had identified her son, and when she asked the police officers to show her the place of her son's grave, she was rejected.

"On September 27, I saw reportage on local TV Channel, which showed the wife of my son, who was surrendering to the police, and she was holding a 2-month-old baby on her arms," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Khati Radjabova.

She has clarified that till present, she is not aware of the whereabouts of Natalia Marchuk. According to Khati Radjabova, the police officers and the investigator do not report on her whereabouts.

According to the bulletin of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan of September 26, on September 25, the resident of the village of Bondarenovka of the Kizlyar District surrendered to the agencies of Dagestani MIA.

"According to Latifa (Muslim name of the surrendered woman), starting from August 2011 till July 2012, she rendered assistance in the form of domestic works to the sabotage and terrorist grouping 'Kizlyar', led by Rustam Gasanov. The woman is giving testimony. The material on the fact has been collected," the press release, published on the MIA's website, reports.

According to an own source of the "Caucasian Knot" in the Republic's MIA, Latifa is Natalia Marchuk, who, according to the police, is a civilian spouse of Magomedshakir Radjabov.
