Voting in Kiev for Georgian Parliament cancelled

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has decided to cancel the outcomes of the voting at the parliamentary elections in the electoral precinct No. 35, which was operating in the capital of Ukraine.

On October 4, Zurab Kharatishvili, CEC Chairman, at that electoral precinct, a conflict between citizens of Georgia and the Chairman of the Election Commission was recorded.

According to Zurab Kharatishvili, as a result of a scuffle, the Chairman was beaten and later hospitalized, the "Georgia Online" reports.

Earlier, the organization "International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy" demanded to recognize the elections in Kiev as failed. Besides, on October 1, Maya Pandjikidze, Spokesperson of the coalition "Georgian Dream", stated that at that electoral precinct, up to 200 persons with consular registration did not find themselves in the electoral lists, the "News.ge" reports.
