Website of Kabardino-Balkarian HRC suffers from hacking attack

Today, the "zapravakbr.ru", the website of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre (HRC), suffered from hacking attack. This was reported by Zaur Shokuev, the deputy head of the HRC.

According to him, as a result of the hacking attack, the archive of the website and all videos were destroyed.

"This morning we found out that we could not open the website. None of the button could be pressed, all video files disappeared, and the logo was destroyed. The website was almost completely destroyed and it cannot be restored," Zaur Shokuev said.

As of 09:55 p.m. Moscow time, the website could not be opened. Valery Khatazhukov, the head of the HRC, accused "enemies of democracy and civil society" of hacking attack.

"We do our best to conduct objective and balanced highlighting of all problems within the scope of our activities, and, therefore, the hacking attack on our website leaves a feeling of confusion and frustration. We believe that it was committed by enemies of democracy and civil society," Valery Khatazhukov said.
