Trial on the lawsuit of a blogger in Armenia against the newspaper "The Fourth Authority" appointed on October, 16

The next hearing on a lawsuit of blogger Tigran Kocharyan against the newspaper "The Fourth Authority" in Armenia was appointed on October, 16, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" informed that Tigran Kocharyan known under the nick name of Slon submitted a lawsuit against the juridical person publishing "The Fourth Authority" newspaper demanding financial compensation and refutation from the newspaper and also its public apology for material "A Fascist and Slon" published on July, 15. According to Kocharyan, the author of the article ascribes him "dance attendance on the authorities" with the use of obscene words concerning him.

On September, 5, the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan deferred trial on the lawsuit of blogger Tigran Kocharyan against the newspaper "The Fourth Authority" till September, 24, in connection with the defendant's request to provide additional time for preparation for the trial.

However, on September, 24, hearings were deferred again upon a request of the defendant David Matevosyan, Director of constitutive company "Postoronnim M" close corporation, again asking for additional time.

Judge Alexey Sukoyan appointed the next session within the framework of consideration of the case at 10:30 local time, October, 16.

Earlier Shoger Matevosyan, Editor-in-Chief of the Armenian newspaper "The Fourth Authority" declared that she was not concerned about blogger Tigran Kocharyan's lawsuit submitted to court. "I do not deal with the newspaper's juridical affairs at all and I do not care a bit about some "blogger-mlogger's" problems", she said.
