20 NGOs stop their activities in Ingushetia

In Ingushetia, 20 NGOs, which cooperated with foreign secret services, stopped their activities. This was reported by Yuri Seryshev, Chief of the FSB Department in the Republic of Ingushetia.

According to him, those NGOs have been incriminated of having relations with the secret services of foreign states and gathering information of reconnaissance nature.

According to Sergey Seryshev, the foreigners were primarily interested in diverse information about the region social, political, and economic information, and data of the activities of law enforcement agencies.

However, the Chief of the FSB Department has reported that the republic still has NGOs, which come within the purview of the new Law "On foreign agents", the "Interfax" reports.

"In Ingushetia, there are three such organizations, one of them is the human rights organization 'MASHR'," the "Echo of the Caucasus" quotes Yuri Seryshev as saying.
