In Makhachkala, 11 suspected militants and their accomplices surrender to law enforcement agents

Today, in Makhachkala, 11 suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) and suspected accomplices of militants were detained. This was reported by a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies.

According to him, 11 persons voluntarily laid down their arms and surrendered after having been blocked in a two-storey private house in Yaronsky Street.

"At present, investigators are revealing, who of the detainees were involved in IAFs and who of them were accomplices of the militants," said the source in the republic's law enforcement agencies.

During the search of the house, law enforcement officers found the seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and all IEDs were neutralized, the edition "Life News" reports.

According to the source in the law enforcement agencies, in total, in Makhachkala, houses, located in three addresses, were blocked, and the counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced. 11 persons, who surrendered to the law enforcement agents, were in one of the blocked houses, the "Interfax" reports.
