The court in Krasnodar left Gajimagomedov in custody for two more months

Today Prikubansky district court of Krasnodar prolonged custody term to resident of Dagestan Gitinmagomed Gajimagomedov, founder of "Caucasus Style" journal, for two more months, i.e. till December, 28.

It should be reminded that Gajimagomedov is accused of murder and swindle but the journalist does not acknowledge himself guilty and states that the policemen wrung confessionary statements out of him using torture. According to the investigation, Gajimagomedov came as self-reported criminal.

Today the first trial within a new hearing of the criminal case on the merits started, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Gitinmagomed Gajimagomedov's motion of removal criminal proceeding against him for the absence of a criminal act and changing the form of preventive punishment was dismissed. The court granted Public Prosecutor's motion prolonging the defendant's custody term for two more months.

The defense is going to appeal against this judgment. The next session was appointed on November, 22.
