In Volzhsky, ensign opens fire from rifle in cafe

In one of the cafes of the city of Volzhsky, a visitor in a state of alcoholic intoxication opened fire from a hunting rifle. This was reported by the Private Security Department at the Chief Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in the Volgograd Region.

The incident occurred on October 19, at about 05:00 a.m. A conflict occurred between a man, dressed in camouflage of ensign, and other visitors of the cafe, and then, a fight started. "The ensign took a rifle in his car and returned to the offenders. He fired a shot into the air and began to threaten them with the firearm," said a representative of the Chief Department of the MIA in the Volgograd Region.

Staff members of the cafe called a group of private security, the "Interfax" reports.

The man did no t react to the requests to calm down and lay the rifle down, and officers managed to calm him down after several shots into the air from the submachine gun, the "V1.ru"reports.

At present, the 33-year-old ensign has been detained, and the question of initiation of a criminal case is to be considered. The position of the detainee is still unknown.
