In Armenia, "Armavia" pays million US dollars of its debt to "Zvartnots" Airport

The "Armavia" Airline, the Armenia's national air carrier, paid to the "Zvartnots" International Airport 1 million US dollars for repayment of the debt for servicing its flights.

According to the "Armavia" Airline, in the evening of October 19, they informed the administration of the "Zvartnots" Airport about the transfer of money.

In turn, the air carrier still owes money to the Airport. As of the morning of October 19, the debt reached 3,215,000 US dollars. In accordance with the agreement between the two companies, the debt shall not exceed 2,360,000 US dollars, the "Arminfo" reports.

At the same time, none of the parties is willing to solve the problem in court. The General Administration of Civil Aviation of Armenia also refrains from interference in question, the "Panorama.am" reports.

Alexan Zakiyan, Chairman of the Association of Entry Tour Operators of Armenia, believes that difficulties with servicing of the "Armavia" Airline at the "Zvartnots" Airport virtually do not prevent the arrival of tourists. According to him, international tourists prefer to arrive by flights of foreign air carriers, the "NEWS.am" reports.

Meanwhile, Mikhail Bagdasarov, the owner of the "Armavia" Airline, has reported that he had decided to sell the company and that he conducts negotiations with potential buyers.
