Azerbaijan: count of arrested protesters reaches 13

In Azerbaijan, more three participants of the protest action, demanding the dissolution of the Parliament, held on October 20 in the centre of Baku, have been arrested. Thus, the number of the arrested protestors reached 13 persons. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by lawyer Asabali Mustafaev.

Let us remind you that in the evening of October 20, the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) and the "Musavat" Party reported that 10 participants of the protest action were subjected to administrative arrests for 7-10 days.

Today, lawyer Asabali Mustafaev visited the station for detention of persons, subjected to administrative arrests, in the Binagadi District of Baku. According to the lawyer, the detention facility contains three activists Dayanat Babaev and Shakir Abbasov, members of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, who were sentenced to 10- and 8-day arrests, and Shakhin Mirzoev, an activist of the "Musavat" Party, who were sentenced to 7-day arrest.

All the persons, arrested in connection with the protest action in Fountain Square, intend to file appeals.
