In Armenia, defendants in case on fight in "Harsnaqar" Restaurant plead not guilty

In Armenia, at the today's court session of the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan communities of Avan and Nor-Nork on the case of the fight in the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant, Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan announced the indictment. None of the defendants pleaded guilty.

According to the indictment, announced by the Prosecutor, on June 17, 2012 at about 10:30 p.m., the defendants Garik Margaryan, David Adamyan, Arthur Babloyan, Armand Bagdasaryan, Arman Khachatryan, and Norair Airapetyan, first at the restaurant complex "Harsnaqar", and then at the parking lot of the restaurant, beat Vage Avetyan and his friends: Artak Bayadyan, Garik Sogomonyan, Arkady Agadjanyan, and Edgar Mikoyan.

"Beating was committed intentionally, and all six defendants were well aware of their actions. Those actions by carelessness caused death of Vage Avetyan; Artak Bayadyan and Garik Sogomonyan got injuries of moderate severity, and their medical treatment required a lot of time," said the Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan.

After the announcement of the indictment, the Judge individually addressed each of the defendants with the question whether they understood the announced indictment.

In response, all six defendants said that they did not admit their guilt and that they were not aware of the charges, filed against them.

The Prosecutor objected and said that during the investigation, none of the defendants expressed such opinion with respect to the charges, filed against them.
