11 injured by building collapse in central Yerevan

In the centre of Yerevan, in Khandjyan Street, unfinished building collapsed. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE). As a result of the collapse, 11 persons were injured.

The second floor of the building under construction collapsed on the workers. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the press service of the MfE.

The MfE's rescue team managed to rescue several workers out of the ruins, and they are brought to the medical centre "Grigor Lusavorich". Eight ambulances also work at the place.

According to Nikolai Grigoryan, Deputy Chief of the Armenian Rescue Service, 11 persons were injured by the collapse.

Eight victims have been brought to hospital, and four of them are in serious condition, the "News-Armenia" reports.
