Kotiev: the wife of one the gunmen’s leaders came as self-reported criminal

Anastasia Alexeyeva (Ganieva), wife of one of the leaders of “Sunzha” paramilitary group Timur Khayauri, called to the telephone hotline for remorseful members of armed underground created in Ingushetia. She gave herself up, Secretary of Security Council of the republic Ahmed Kotiev reported.

“Anastasia Alexeyeva (Ganieva), wife of Timur Khayauri killed in a special operation in the rural settlement of Ordzhonikidzevsoye, responded to a call to return to peaceful life. The woman was out of home about a year, had a wanted notice and was suspected of participation in a paramilitary group (PMG). On October, 25, she came to law enforcement bodies of her own accord”, the Secretary of Security Council added.

According to Head of Ingushetia, the process of adaptation to peaceful life must be in hand of Security Council. After a participant of PMG comes as self-reported criminal he or she must be rendered psychological aid.

“They should realize that persons who voluntarily stop illegal activities and surrender arms are exempted from criminal liability if there is no element of other crime in their actions”, web-site of the Republic of Ingushetia quotes Evkurov.
