Moscow city court reduced custody terms to defendants on the case of disturbances in Manezhnaya square

The panel of judges of Moscow city court reduced the sentence to Vitaly Vasin and Nicolay Dvoinyakov acknowledged guilty on the case of mass disturbances in Manezhnaya square in December of 2010, Press Service of the court informed.

On December, 11, 2010, over five thousand football fans and nationalists staged riots across Manezhnaya square after a procession in memory of “Spartak” fan Yegor Sviridov killed in a scuffle at night of December, 6. 32 persons got injured as a result.

Four defendants accused of organizing and participation in mass disturbances in Manezhnaya square, Nicolay Dvoinyakov, Vitaly Vasin, Vladimir Kirpichnikov and Grigory Bilchenko, acknowledged their guilt in part. The court sentenced Nicolay Dvoinyakov to two and Vitaly Vasin to three years of custody in a general regime colony conditionally.

Upon the verdict of Moscow city court the penalty to Nicolay Dvoinyakov was reduced to his actually served term, i.e. from two years to one year and 11 months of custody, “Interfax” reports.

As for Vitaly Vasin, the court reduced his penalty term by three months, i.e. to two years and nine months of custody conditionally”, Russian Agency of Legal and Juridical information reports.
