Sochi: 12-year-old boy, taken from his mother by social workers, returned to his family

A 12-year-old Svyatoslav Gorbunov, who was kept in the social rehabilitation centre for minors "Rodnik", was given out to his relatives. This was told on October 31 to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Valentina Gorbunova, the boy's mother.

Earlier, Valentina Gorbunova said that on October 18, officials kidnapped her 12-year-old son Svyatoslav and placed him to an infectious diseases hospital. The officials claimed that the boy was removed from his family in his own interests.

Svyatoslav Gorbunov said that after his kidnapping near the house of his grandmother, he spent the days of October 18-28 at the infectious diseases hospital. He was also taken to a children's clinic, where he was examined.

Alexander Sinelnikov, the acting head of the 3rd department of the infectious diseases hospital, stated that doctors took samples from the boy for research. According to him, since the infectious diseases hospital is a closed institution, the boy's mother was not allowed to visit him. Alexander Sinelnikov has noted that "children from the streets are being delivered" to the 3rd department.

Valentina Gorbunova filed a complaint about the kidnapping of her son to prosecutor and to the Investigatory Committee, where the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed that her complaints were accepted and would be considered.
