Mother of a resident of Dagestan killed in a special operation states his innocence

Relatives of Ruslan Medzhidov killed in a special operation in Dagestan on October, 30, state that he was kidnapped by unknown people on October, 28, the killed young man’s mother, resident of Kaspiysk Svetlana Alieva, reported.

At 07:00, October, 30, counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was enacted in Tabasaran district. On the same day a supposed gunman who, according to members of power ministries, threw a grenade into them was killed in the woodland in 12 kilometers distance from the settlement of Chulat.

According to Svetlana Alieva, at 16:00, October, 28, her son Ruslan Medzhidov born in 1993 left home. “I called him at 17:55 and he said that he would be back at 20 but he never returned. When I called him again at 21:45 his phone was already switched off”, the woman said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

After she appealed to her son’s friend for help he promised to find out his location. “It emerged that my son went to the settlement for holidays but told me nothing about it because he was afraid that I would not allow him to go. Such a thing once happened before and then I appealed to the police. However, he came back a day later and said that everything was all right, he just stayed with his friend and had no recharger”, Svetlana Alieva said.

On October, 31, she received a call from Kaspiysk municipal Department of Interior Affairs. They told her that her son was found in Derbent but she was not told whether her son was detained or killed.

“They explained to which investigator I should appeal and on the same day I went to Derbent. I came to him and the investigator explained that they might have not killed the boy, he was too young and he just turned out in the wrong place at an improper time”, the woman said.

Already in Derbent Svetlana Alieva learned that her son was killed in a special operation. According to the investigation’s version, he was alone and had a grenade with him.

“His body has not been passed to me yet”, the killed young man’s mother says.

Investigator Ramazanov of Investigative Department told the woman that DNA testing would be carried out on November, 2, and would take a long time.
