Stavropol authorities ask Russian Government to include territory into tourist cluster project

Valery Zerenkov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, appealed to the Government of the Russian Federation with a proposal to include the region into the project of creation of the tourism cluster of the south of Russia. This was reported today by the press service of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Resorts of Northern Caucasus".

According to the press service, the issues of including the region in the project of the tourist cluster were discussed in Kislovodsk by Valery Zerenkov, Governor of the Stavropol Territory, and Akhmed Bilalov, Chairman of the OJSC "Resorts of Northern Caucasus".

According to Akhmed Bilalov, the attractiveness of the project of the tourist cluster will increase with the inclusion of the special economic zone of the Stavropol Territory, which includes the cities of Essentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Lermontov, Pyatigorsk, and the Mineralnye Vody and the Predgorny Districts, the official website of the OJSC "Resorts of Northern Caucasus" reports.

At present, the officials prepare the tripartite agreements on cooperation within the project of the tourist cluster between the OJSC "Resorts of Northern Caucasus", the Government of the Stavropol Territory and potential investors: "Foundation for Assistance to Development of Regions", Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) "Rosengineering", OJSC "Northern Caucasus Development Corporation", the "ITAR-TASS" reports.
