Court decision on recognizing "Innocence of Muslims" as extremist enters into force

From tomorrow, the decision of the Tver Court of Moscow to recognize the film "Innocence of Muslims" as extremist enters into force.

On October 1, the Tver Court found the film "Innocence of Muslims" extremist. The film was prohibited to be shown in the Russian Federation.

Today was the deadline for the period, specified by the law to challenge the decision of the Court, thus, starting from November 7, 2012, the Court's decision comes into force. This was reported by Alexandra Berezina, Press Secretary of the Tver Court.

At the same time, the Press Secretary of the Tver Court has emphasized that the participants of the trial could challenge the Court's decision by mail, and, in the event if it was made within the period, specified by the law, the appeal process still could be effected, the "Interfax" reports.

Let us remind you that the trailer of the film "Innocence of Muslims", shot in the USA, appeared in early September and caused protest actions of Muslims in several Muslim countries.

On September 21 and 24, in Dagestan, providers blocked access to the "YouTube" because of the film "Innocence of Muslims". All providers in Chechnya also blocked access to the "YouTube" because of the film. In the Krasnodar Territory, access to the YouTube pages that hosted the film "Innocence of Muslims" was blocked by mobile operators.
