In Astrakhan, Court obliges Internet providers to restrict access to "Innocence of Muslims"

In Astrakhan, in accordance with the decision of the Kirov District Court, Internet providers Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Vympel-Kommunikatsii" and OJSC "Rostelekom" must restrict access to the film "Innocence of Muslims". This was reported by the Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"In accordance with the decision of the Court, Internet providers, represented by the Astrakhan Branch of the OJSC "Vympel-Kommunikatsii" and the OJSC "Rostelekom", are required to block access to 45 Internet addresses, which offer free access to the film "Innocence of Muslims," the RIA "Novosti" quotes a source in the Prosecutor's Office as saying.

On November 7, the decision of the Tver Court of Moscow that in early October recognized the film as extremist also came into force, the "Expert.ru" reports.

Imams of southern Russia called on people not to raise noise about the film "Innocence of Muslims"; however, they did not reach the agreement of opinion on the issue of closing the access to Internet resources. In particular, Khadji-Murat Gatsalov, Mufti of North Ossetia, who stated that he did not watch the film, suggested that closure of access to the "YouTube" because of the resonant film would not be correct. At the same time, Abdulla Ukkuev, Imam of the village of Chapaevskoe of Karachay-Cherkessia, believes that boycotting of the "YouTube" is not a way out.
