Defendants in case of attempt to blow up "Sapsan" train admit their guilt in part

Today, the Moscow City Court completed the interrogation of the defendants on charges of attempt to undermine the passenger train "Sapsan". This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" by lawyer Abusupyan Gaitaev.

On November 6, two out of four defendants were interrogated. One of them, Khamzhuev, admitted his guilt in part, and the second defendant Umaev totally denied his guilt. On October 23, three defendants also admitted their guilt of possessing of explosives and involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) and denied the charges of preparation for a terror act.

According to Abusupyan Gaitaev, defendant Edelbiev admitted his guilt only of possessing and making a device and refused to confess to banditry and preparation for a terror act.

"Nevlyutov has also admitted his guilt of possession of weapons and involvement in illegal armed formation; however, he said that he was not involved in the terror act and that he only guessed about that when he heard a conversation in which men spoke of a train, but no one informed him personally of that and he did not perform any actions," the defender said.
