In KBR Communists rally to demand resignation of Russian Government

On August 31, in Nalchik, residents of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) held a rally organized by the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF). At the rally, speakers criticized the Russian Government and demanded its resignation. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Unfortunately, the recent events have convinced us that our country is not doing well," said at the rally Boris Pashtov, First Secretary of the Republic's Committee of the CPRF.

Boris Pashtov has stated that the economy is stagnating and the country is on the verge of default.

"We were told that we would join the WTO and everything would be well. We have entered the WTO, and all we, and, in particularly, farmers, face just the opposite situation," said the First Secretary of the Republican Committee of the CPRF.

Boris Pashtov has also criticized the Government's decision to impose social norm for electricity. "And this norm has been introduced in our country that is able to provide the whole world with energy! At present, the electricity is actually declared a luxury. What kind of norms will be introduced further? Norms for water and air?" Boris Pashtov has said.

Boris Pashtov has stated that Communists of the KBR support the demand voiced by the CPRF that the Russian Government should resign. He has also added that they agree with the initiative to form a government of national trust.
