In Sochi, public organizations unsatisfied with methods of reconstruction of Navaginskaya Street
Construction works in Navaginskaya Street, a central street of Sochi, are conducted in violation of the laws and regulations of fire safety. This was reported by representatives of public organizations of Sochi.
The reconstruction in Navaginskaya Street has been started in late August and is held under the programme of the Olympic construction.
Roman Shikarev, the leader of the city movement "Zakon i Poryadok" (Law and Order), believes that one of the main problems of the reconstruction is that roadway will be removed from Navaginskaya Street and it will turn into a fully pedestrian street. Thus, the houses will be deprived of fire entrance and entrance for ambulances.
Roman Shikarev has reported that the public movement has filed an appeal to the City Council, in which activists ask deputies to submit for discussion the question to ban changing the purpose of the road from roadway to pedestrian zone. Besides, the "Zakon i Poryadok" prepares appeals to the Prosecutor's Office, the court, and other competent authorities.
