KBR's Operations Centre: militants killed in Kabardino-Balkaria were first to open fire in response surrender proposal
The militants killed in today's special operation conducted in the Urvan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) were the first to open fire, although law enforcers offered them to surrender. This was reported by the local Operations Centre.
In the morning on September 5, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Urvan District of the KBR. According to law enforcers, during a special operation a group of local militants was liquidated, including its leader Ruslan Makoev.
According to the above Centre, the militants were found in a forest, where they had a temporary base. "In the place of the battle we found a tent equipped for a short-term accommodation of the gang," said the source.
According to his story, law enforcers tried to detain the militants; however, they refused to surrender and rendered resistance by using automatic firearms and grenades.
