Chechen CEC: "Edinaya Rossiya" gains 86% of votes at elections to Legislative Assembly of Chechnya
According to the preliminary information, the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party has gained more than 86% of the votes at the elections of members of the Legislative Assembly of Chechnya. This was reported by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Chechnen Republic.
Let us remind you that on September 8, in Russia, 80 out of 83 subjects held a single day of voting. Electoral precincts worked in all regions of the Southern Federal District (SFD) and the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), except for Kabardino-Balkaria. In Chechnya, the elections of members of the parliament were held.
The Election Commission has explained that at present, the republic has completed counting of votes. According to the preliminary information, the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party has gained 86.07% of the votes. The second place has been occupied by the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party with 7.03% of the votes, and the third place by the "Patrioty Rossii" (Patriots of Russia) with 4.97% of votes. Other political parties gained less than one percent of the votes, the ITAR-TASS reports.
Besides, a representative of the Election Commission has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the Chechen Election Commission has not yet received any complaints about violations committed during the voting.
It should be noted that the elections in Chechnya traditionally had high voter turnout. Thus, according to the State Computerized System (SCS) "Vybory" (Elections) of the CEC of the Russian Federation, as of 6:00 p.m., September 8, 87.9% of the voters came and voted at the elections of members to the Chechen Parliament, the "Interfax" reports.
