Opposition challenges CEC's statement about absence of violations at elections in Krasnodar Territory
On September 8, in the Krasnodar Territory, 52 election campaigns were held, and they became the most peaceful and constructive elections in recent years in the region. This was stated by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Krasnodar Territory. Representatives of a number of opposition parties state that on the day of voting, significant violations were committed in electoral precincts, including ballot box stuffing and non-admission of observers to voters' lists.
According to the information of the CEC of the Krasnodar Territory, as a result of 31 election campaigns for the elections of heads of dwelling settlements, all the elected leaders are the representatives of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party.
Yuri Burlachko, Chairman of the CEC of the Krasnodar Territory, has noted that prior to the voting day, they CEC received only eight complaints, including one filed three times. On the voting day, the CEC received only two complaints.
Meanwhile, on the voting day, representatives of the "Patrioty Rossii" (Patriots of Russia) and the "Yabloko" Parties claimed a number of violations committed in the course of the voting, in particular, ballot box stuffing and non-admission to the electoral lists in Tuapse.
Representatives of the "Yabloko" Party, who recorded some violations on the video, have filed a complaint to law enforcement bodies.
The local branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) also claimed violations committed in the course of the elections in Krasnodar and does not recognize the election outcomes.
Earlier, sources at the Tuapse territorial election commission told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the facts of serious violations had not been confirmed.
