The project lasts for half a year already, and starting from in September, the training centre launched a new training course. This was reported by Maya Khasiya, the director of the centre.
"The former government left us the facts of violence, cruel and inhuman treatment in prisons. To combat all the above, we need to carry out a step-by-step training and to hire new personnel," the "Caucasian Knot" was explained by Sozar Subari, Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance.
The Minister has also emphasized the importance of the project to create an educational film.
"It will help employees of the penitentiary system to learn how to treat prisoners, and it will help the very prisoners, who enter prison and lose their liberty, not to fall to pieces," Sozar Subari has said.
The film "Admission and placement of prisoner to penitentiary system" was shot by the "T-Studio" and directed by Tom Chagelishvili, the film scenario was written by Victoria Kavzharadze.
The video material shot by Tom Chagelishvili represents a reference material for employees of the penitentiary system, and it includes posing of real-life situations of admission, registration and placement of a sentenced person to a prison. The director has stated that the film intentionally makes mistakes regarding the prisoner's rights, for example, the rights to adequate food and walks.
