In Dagestan, four persons remain detained after rally held by residents of Agachaul

The court has fined and released 71 participants of the rally held by residents of the village of Agachaul, who demanded to release Malik Kambulatov, detained on suspicion of illegal arms trafficking. Four other protesters still remain detained, and criminal cases were instituted against them, a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that on September 12, the unsanctioned rally demanding to release Malik Kambulatov, who was detained on September 11, was held in front of the Prosecutor's Office of the Lenin District of Makhachkala. The rally was attended by about 300 persons. The police dispersed the protest action and detained some of the protesters.

According to the MIA's information, the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala sentenced 71 participants of the rally to administrative penalty in the form of fine of 10,000 roubles. After the decision of the court was pronounced, the detainees were released.

At present, four persons remain detained, and two of them are prosecuted for acts of violence against representatives of authorities they torn the uniform worn by policemen. This was explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a representative of the press service of the MIA of Dagestan.

According to his report, two other protestors are suspected of inflicting damage to a police car, and criminal cases were instituted against them for deliberate destruction of other people's property.
