Terror act kills policeman in Ingushetia
As a result of a car explosion in Ingushetia, one policeman was killed and three others wounded, the spokesman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the republic has reported.
Today, on the exit road from the village of Nesterovskaya, policemen tried to block a VAZ-2107 car. In a shootout, the car blew up.
According to the Department of ICRF for the republic, the power of the explosive device was up to 200 kilograms of TNT (trotyl) equivalent, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Also today, at the building of the Sunzha ROVD (District Interior Division) in Ingushetia, a man was detained, who had an explosive device on him. He was identified as a resident of Chechnya Machukaev by name.
"According to the received data, Machukaev intended to shoot ROVD employees dead and then commit a suicide bombing. During further work with the detainee, it became known about the bandits' intent to commit a terror act with the use of a car, similar to what was committed in the Chechen Republic," says the statement released by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
