Dagestani court rules to arrest two suspects of illegal possession of firearms
Saidpasha Musaev and Magaram Aliev, residents of the village of Manas, Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, detained on suspicion of illegal firearms possession, have been arrested by the court for two months.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 10 relatives lost contact with Musaev and Aliev and suggested that they could become victims of kidnapping.
On September 16, it became known that Musaev and Aliev are kept at the IVS (temporary detention facility) of the city of Kaspiisk. According to a source from the Kaspiisk GOVD (City Interior Division), during the detention of Saidpasha Musaev and Magaram Aliev, firearms and ammunition were found on them.
One of Musaev's relatives told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on August 17 the City Court of Kaspiisk upheld the arguments of the investigation in favour of putting Musaev and Aliev into custody.
According to his version, the relatives are confident of innocence of Musaev and Aliev and assert that the firearms had been planted on them during the detention. "The detainees themselves told about it; besides, they had traces of torture applied to them by power agents," said the source.
