Ex-policeman Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov identifies defendant as alleged killer of Anna Politkovskaya
At the court session held at the Moscow City Court on the case of the murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya, Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov, a former staff member of the Moscow GUVD (Chief Interior Department), has identified defendant Rustam Makhmudov on the video record that shot the alleged murderer of Anna Politkovskaya.
Let us remind you that at the court session held on September 18, Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov told the Court about the role of the defendants in the organization of the crime.
According to the Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov's story, the murder of Anna Politkovskaya "involved Nail (Rustam Makhmudov had a passport for that name), Gaitukaev, and Khadjikurbanov." According to the Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov's statement, the crime was organized by Gaitukaev and Khadjikurbanov, and Nail was an actual perpetrator of the murder.
Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov was shown a video record from the surveillance cameras from the entrance to the house, where the journalist was murdered.
"He (Rustam Makhmudov) walked with a little limp, since he was wounded earlier and his limp was caused by his wound," Dmitry Pavlyuchenkov has stated. He has added that "for 13 years, he worked at the unit that studied how to identify a person from back and by style of walking."
