Trial on lawsuit of HRC "Memorial" demanding to cancel registration as foreign agent scheduled for November 18
The court session on the claim filed by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" challenging the demand of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office to get registered as a foreign agent is scheduled for November 18. This was reported by the Zamoskvorechye District Court of Moscow.
The Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" is part of the historical, educational and human rights organization "Memorial", and it is engaged in protection of human rights, including in Northern Caucasus.
Let us remind you that on March 26, the Moscow Prosecutor's Office started an unscheduled inspection of the HRC "Memorial" with the assistance of experts from the Ministry of Justice and the Tax Inspectorate. Following the inspection results, the Prosecutor's Office demanded that the HRC should register as a foreign agent. The HRC "Memorial" considers the conclusions made by the Prosecutor's Office as incorrect and filed a complaint to the Zamoskvorechye Court of Moscow. On September 11, the Court postponed the court session on the lawsuit filed by the HRC that was earlier scheduled for September 13.
The court session to consider the lawsuit is scheduled for November 18 at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told about it at the Zamoskvorechye District Court of Moscow.
