Armenia: 300 persons attend rally organized by Raffi Ovannisyan

On September 20, inYerevan, in Freedom Square, a rally was held organized by Raffi Ovannisyan, the leader of the "Heritage" Party. The rally was attended by about 300 persons. The rally participants strongly criticized the decision about Armenia's accession to the Customs Union.

"He who makes an individual decision should resign," stated Raffi Ovannisyan, when commenting on the statement made by Serzh Sargsyan about the Armenia's desire to join the Customs Union.

Raffi Ovannisyan has compared the President's statement with the "Turkish-Bolshevik anti-Armenian document adopted in 1921."

"It is not longer a secret that freedom, independence, and sovereignty of Armenia are under threat. And at present, if we do not go outside and do not come together to fight to save our country, no one will forgive us for the loss of statehood," Raffi Ovannisyan has emphasized in his speech.

The leader of the "Heritage" Party has also criticized the Serzh Sargsyan's initiative on the ratification of the Armenian-Turkish protocols, conducting negotiations under the Madrid principles, and the recent presidential election.
