Cossack villagers urge Krasnodar Governor Tkachov and President Putin to save former fishery farm
Residents of the Cossack village of Privolnaya of the Kanev District of the Krasnodar Territory have sent a collective appeal to Alexander Tkachov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, and Russian President Vladimir Putin asking to prevent the destruction and devastation of the local former fishery collective farm and to restore jobs.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2010, the residents of the Cossack village already sent an open letter to the Governor of Kuban. In their open letter, the villagers have complained that they are not paid wages since June 2010 and that the very agricultural company is in critical condition.
In their new letter addressed to the leaders of the Krasnodar Territory and of the country, the residents of the Cossack village of Privolnaya describe the present situation at the former fishery collective farm. "The collective farm is being taken away, all metal parts have been cut and taken away from the farm, and for the subsequent third year, the fields are seeded with sunflowers. All employees of the former fishery collective farm and their number exceeds 150 persons lost their jobs and are forced to wander around the world, since they cannot find job at the Cossack village."
In their appeal, the former employees of the fishery collective farm ask the Governor and the President to pay attention to the situation in the Cossack village, "to stop the looting of the collective farm" and to provide them with the opportunity "to work quietly."
