In Chechnya, two soldiers hit by landmine explosion, one of them died
On September 20, in Chechnya, in a forest area near the village of Dattykh, two soldiers of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were blown up. One of them died in the place, and another was hospitalized.
The soldier of the MIA's Internal Troops, who was wounded as a result of landmine explosion in the forest area in south-western part of Chechnya, is in the InternalTroopsHospital in Grozny. Doctors estimate his state as critical.
"He got multiple shrapnel wounds to the lower extremities and body. The doctors are doing everything possible to save his life," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a representative of the Chechen law enforcement bodies.
According to his information, on September 20, in the forest area of the foothill Achkhoi-Martan District, in the direct vicinity of the administrative border with Ingushetia, law enforcers were carrying out activities to find and neutralize militants. At about 4:15 p.m., two soldiers of the special unit of the Internal Troops of the Russian MIA were blown up by an explosive device of unidentified type.
At present, the law enforcers are searching for the persons who had planted the explosive device, the "Interfax" reports.
