NAC: bomb of 10 kg TNT (trotyl) equivalent defused in Khasavyurt

A bomb with the explosion power of 10 kg of TNT equivalent has been neutralized in the city Khasavyurt, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reports.

According to the NAC, the improvised explosive device (IED) was installed at the intersection of Pravdy and Beibulatov Streets.

"Given the high probability of explosion, the IED was destroyed in place with the help of hydrodynamic cannon by explosion experts of the republic's department of the Russia's FSB," the "Interfax" quotes the NAC's statement.

The suspicious object on the roadside in Khasavyurt was detected by local residents.

The edition named "Life News" adds, citing its source from law enforcement bodies, that the bomb was made as an ordinary enamel bucket.
