All casualties of special operation in Kabardino-Balkaria identified, a source reports
All persons, who were killed in the antiterrorist operation conducted in the village of Zhankhoteko, have been identified. They were members of the "Baksan" grouping. During the armed clash, two special fighters were wounded. This was reported by the law enforcement bodies of Kabardino-Balkaria.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 5, in one of the houses of the village of Zhankhoteko, law enforcers blocked a group of suspected militants. According to law enforcers, the militants were offered to surrender, and they responded with fire.
One of the deceased persons was identified as Arthur Eneev, born in 1988, who was put on the federal wanted list in 2011. He led the "Baksan" grouping that was active in the territory of the Elbrus Region of Kabardino-Balkaria. The criminal grouping was engaged in explosions of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), numerous attempts on lives of law enforcers, and extortion of large amounts of money from entrepreneurs. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by officials from the operational headquarters of the republic.
According to the preliminary law enforcers' information, the other killed persons were identified as 30-year-old Zalim Liev and Uzdenov brothers (21-year-old Kazim and 19-year-old Alim), members of the "Baksan" grouping. This was reported by the "LifeNews" with reference to a source from the secret services of the republic.
During the special operation conducted in the village of Zhankhoteko, two special fighters were slightly wounded. At 4:30 p.m. of December 6, the counterterrorist operation regime in the territory of the village was cancelled.
