Yerevan: four picketers detained in front of Russian Embassy

On March 5, Armenian police have detained four activists who held a picket in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. In total, about 30 persons protested against Russia's actions in relation to Ukraine.

The protesters in Yerevan stated that they oppose Vladimir Putin's policy and support Ukraine. They held the Ukrainian flag and posters "Peace to Nations, War to Authorities!", "Put in – Put out", and chanted "Putin is a fascist!" and "Glory to Ukraine – glory to heroes!"

Policemen did not allow the activists to picket in front of the embassy; they demanded to move to the opposite sidewalk, which resulting in their skirmish with the protesters.

After detention of the activists, the rest of the picket went to the building of the central police station and demanded their release. Later, all the four detainees were released.
