Two brothers from Dagestan suspected of preparing terror act detained near Volgograd
As reported on March 5 by a law enforcement source, two brothers from Dagestan – Arsen and Arthur Khabibulaev – were detained in the Svetloyarsky District of the Volgograd Region on suspicion of preparing a terror act.
According to the police, on March 5, Khabibulaev brothers were heading to Volgograd in a bus running from Makhachkala to Moscow. Before the checkpoint, near the village of Bolshie Chapurniki, they stepped off the bus. Law enforcers launched the "Vulcan-4" operative plan and detained the brothers.
According to unconfirmed reports, the 32-year-old Arsen and the 26-year-old Arthur Khabibulaev were involved in preparation of terror acts and subversive activities, the newspaper "Volgogradskaya Pravda" reports citing its police source.
The detainees were members of the "Buynaksk" grouping of Dagestan. Apart from descriptions of the Khabibulaevs, the law enforcement bodies of the Volgograd Region received orientation messages on two other members of the grouping – Magomed Aksaev, born in 1986, and Gadji Kebyaliev, born in 1983. Aksaev is suspected of committing a terror act in one of the cities of the Southern Federal District (SFD), and Kebyaliev – of involvement in aiding and abetting terrorism, the portal "UNews" reports.
