"EcoWatch": Evgeny Vitishko placed into colony-settlement No. 2 in Tambov Region
On February 24, Evgeny Vitishko, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), was convoyed from SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1 of Krasnodar to serve his term in the Tambov Region; and he is now in colony-settlement No. 2 of the Department for the Tambov Region of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN), the "EcoWatch" has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20, 2013, the court changed Vitishko's freedom restriction measure (he had been sentenced to three conditional years for damaging the fence around the so-called "summer cottage" of the Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachov) from the conditional into real imprisonment; and Vitishko was convoyed to a settlement-colony outside the Krasnodar Territory. On February 27, it became known that his destination was the Tambov Region, but no exact jail was specified.
According to Alexander Pavlikov, the chairman of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of the Tambov Region, Evgeny Vitishko is now in the quarantine of settlement-colony No. 2, says the release of the "EcoWatch" that reached the "Caucasian Knot" on March 6.
It is noted in the release that so far there is no more information about Evgeny's health condition – he was sick when taken away from Krasnodar.
