Case on soldier's death in Astrakhan Region sent to reconsideration
On March 5, at the court session at the Military Court of the Znamensky Garrison of the Astrakhan Region, the military prosecutor's office moved a petition to cancel the investigator's decision to stop the criminal case on the death of Private Vadim Mambetov; the case was sent for retrial, Marina Mambetova, the mother of the dead soldier, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Let us remind you that Anatoly Salin, a Legal Expert of the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers of the Astrakhan Region and an expert of the Presidential Council on Human Rights and Civil Society Development, sent an appeal to the military prosecutor of the above Garrison asking to promote an additional examination into Mambetov's death and find those responsible.
His appeal to the military prosecutor was caused by the results of the January examination conducted by the Military Investigating Division of the Znamensky Garrison, according to which the investigator found no violations by the command and blamed the dead soldier of the incident.
